You have to attend a 3 days PMI-ACP training by an authorized trainer. This gives you 21 contact hours (PDUs). After that, you will have to go through the application process, make the exam fee payment. Then you have to give the online exam through a protected and secured platform. Up on successful completion of the exam you will get the PMI-ACP certification.

PMI-ACP Training will be done in different durations. Usually it will be a 3 days training from 9AM IST to 5PM IST. Another pattern is a 5 day schedule during the evening India time, 6PM IST to 10 PM IST. This is to help the USA, Canada, and Europe.

Yes, you need to attempt an exam through a secured and protected platform using your webcam on. The exam contains 120 questions (100 scored and 20 unscored). These questions will be from 7 domains: Agile principles and mindset (16% questions), value driven delivery (20% questions), stakeholder engagement (17% questions), team performance (16% questions), adaptive planning (12% questions), problem detection and resolution (10% questions), continuous improvement (9% questions). You have to get 70% to pass from the 100 scored questions.

Once you meet all eligibility criteria, PMI will e-mail you examination scheduling instructions with your eligibility code, which you will need when scheduling your exam appointment at a testing center or online.

The exam fee allows you to attempt only once. If you could not pass in the first attempt, you can appear for next attempt but re-exam fee should be paid.

Yes, every 3 years you have to renew your PMI-ACP exam. You have to upload 30 PDUs (professional development units) and pay USD 60 (PMI members) and USD 150 (non PMI members).
